Long Term

Trade long term is a trade which usually has a long-term. For example, trade was opened on April 19, 2010, closed on April30, 2010.
There is no definition of time limits on how many days / weeks / months. Usually if more than 1-2 days then the so-called long term

Usually long-term is used to capture the movement of large pips due to the strong trend

Scalping

The definition of scalping is sometimes slightly different between the first trader to another, which defines scalping there is a short-term trading, which at the close in less than x minutes. There are defines scalping is trading that takes just a few pips pips profit, with large lots.

But in general, scalping is a combination of both. Usually it to reach the small pips, which does not take too long (because of motion quite a bit only)

If you prohibit scalping broker, you should check the agreement / ask your broker to know the definition of scalping by them.
